Google’s Android Wear will apparently get an update putting it closer to Apple’s upcoming watch according to The Verge.
The report claims that Google is planning to bring Wi-Fi support to Android Wear in the next software update (most Android Wear wearables have wifi capabilities that are currently dormant). The update will allow notifications to be pushed and Google Now to be used without a Bluetooth connection.
The update will also include support for gesture controls allowing users to scroll through lists without touching the watch.
