As the leading Arabic electronic information provider, Al Manhal constantly strives to be a pioneer in the e-content movement. Priding itself on being the globe’s sole provider of full-text searchable Arabic academic databases, Al Manhal’s cutting-edge technology and innovative digital publishing workflow has enabled millions of students in over 500 universities to access thousands of eBooks, eJournals, eThesis, strategic reports and conference proceedings from the Middle East’s leading publishers and research institutes.

In response to the growing demand by customers from the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the USA, Al-Manhal is now launching an Arabic e-Bookstore App for Android devices. The customized App combines the best of functionality and convenience, allowing book lovers all over the world to access thousands of Arabic e-books from the Middle East’s leading publishers.  (download the app at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.it.almanhal)

This step comes in line with the “Arab Reading Challenge” that was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, making 2016 the year for Arabic reading. Al Manhal is committed to supporting reading in the Arab world by facilitating intuitive access to a growing library of thousands of Arabic ebooks.

“The introduction of the Al Manhal Android Bookstore App further strengthens the company’s position as the leading scholarly Arabic information provider by giving our customers and users more options for interacting with our educational offerings.” Al Manhal CEO Mohamad Al Baghdadi

The Al Manhal library covers 25 topics of interest ranging from art to business and economics, architecture and design, Islamic banking & finance, Islamic studies, political science & international relations, history, geography & biography, educational sciences, and humanities and social sciences. With a library containing thousands of books from hundreds of publishers, Al Manhal App promises to be the go-to library of choice for Arabic readers everywhere regardless of the smart device they are using. In order to provide the maximum benefit to student users in addition to casual readers, Al Manhal’s App enables patrons at institutional libraries with an active subscription to Al Manhal databases, to download their favorite titles for offline reading. The fluid technology allows readers to customize their own personal libraries with subscribed content (their universities subscribe to) as well as their own purchased titles, in order to create a reader experience like never before.
