Technology has always been progressing towards being smaller and slimmer. If it can’t fit in your pocket, it’s not worth it. While the Acer Swift 7 may not be able to fit in your pocket, it can certainly slide under the gap beneath your door.
The Acer Swift 7 is only 9.9 mm thick; the HP Spectre is 13.3 mm thick in comparison. The Swift 7 has a matte black aluminium exterior with a gold interior, giving it a premium design. The first available Swift 7 model, the SF713-51-M90J, includes a Core i5-7Y54 Kaby Lake processor, 8GB of RAM, a 256GB solid-state drive, and a full HD 13.3-inch display which features IPS technology for wide viewing angles, and better clarity. What’s more, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Furthermore, it also comes with MU-MIMO 802.11 ac Wi-Fi for what Acer says is three times faster wireless performance, and the company claims up to 9 hours of battery life for the Swift 7, but as we all know, battery life claims are finicky statistics. The Acer Swift 7 also has a pair of USB-C ports and Dolby speakers.
In addition to being ever-so-thinner, the Swift 7 is slightly less expensive than the Spectre, which boasts similar specifications. The Spectre starts at $1,169.99, and the Acer laptop is now available at $1,099.99, which is still quite the premium price tag. However, considering the gorgeous design and the impressive specs, it’s quite reasonable.
The Swift 7 isn’t the only device in the company’s new line up as they revealed other convertible laptops and more devices at their Middle East Press Conference.
