Yesterday, at the next@acer global press conference in New York, Acer revealed its new lineup of products for 2016 that cover a wide range of users.
“I’m excited to unveil the fruits of our corporate transformation. With new innovations from our core business of IT products, we’ve also made progress in our new business expansion with the industry’s first cycling computer with intelligent video recording applications built-in.”
-Jason Chen, corporate president and CEO of Acer.
Expansions to its Predator gaming series, a Chromebook and new convertibles are some of the new products.
The Acer Switch Alpha 12 is the new addition to Acer’s convertible line and takes the company’s proprietary liquid cooling technology that allows for silent and reliable operation in an ultra-slim design as it requires no fan inside. But isn’t the only convertible as Acer also revealed the thinnest 15-inch 360-degree convertible with the Aspire R 15.
When it comes to gaming, Acer revealed the Predator G1 desktop and the Predator 17 X notebook. Both of the devices are VR ready. As for the Predator G1 Jason Chen had the following to say:
“We are on track with a bright start with our gaming desktop growth rate more than tripling the industry average year-on-year in the first two months of this year for shipments.”
As for laptops, Acer revealed the Travelmate P658, the latest member of the award-winning P6 commercial notebook family. It features the latest 802.11ad gigabit Wi-Fi technology from Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. which can deliver speeds up to 4.6 Gbps and enable a seamless, wired-equivalent productivity environment, connecting the notebook to multiple displays, networking and other I/O ports, through the Acer ProDock Wireless.
