Acer has announced the launch of its new series of affordable notebooks called Aspire One Cloudbooks, and they are aimed at the Chromebook fans.
The company is releasing 2 models to start with, an 11- and a 14-inch model dubbed the Cloudbook 11 and Cloudbook 14, running Windows 10 and with prices starting at $169 and $199 respectively.
While the name might indicate a similar structure to the Chromebook, Acer says it is not. The company has made it clear that the new Cloudbooks will not be cloud-focused and have no restrictions on OS.
The Cloudbooks are .70-inches thick and include an HDMI port, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port, and a Micro SD card slot. Both the Aspire One Cloudbook 11 and 14 are equipped, with Intel Celeron N3050 dual-core processors clocked at 1.6 GHz (boost up to 2.16 GHz) and 2 GB of DDR3L memory.
The roll out id expected to begin this month in the U.S.
