Away from CES 2014, Apple announced that customers have actually spent over $10 billion on the App Store in 2013, which include over $1 billion in December alone. As for downloads, Apple said that customers have  downloaded almost 3 billion apps in December only, breaking the record for the most successful month in the App Store history.

How does this translate? Apple developers have actually earned more than $15 billion from App Store revenues since launch in 2008.
