Qualcomm has announced their new Quick Charge upgrade. Quick Charge 3.0 will allow phones to go from 0 to 80% in just 35 minutes. The new technology will make its debut on the Snapdragon 820 processor in 2016.
Qualcomm’s quick charging technology is apparently “the first of its kind” to employ Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage method which allows portable devices to determine the power level to request for optimum power transfer. Qualcomm said that this is about 38% more efficient than Quick Charge 2.0.
