Zoho has introduced the latest version of its document digitisation tool, Zoho Scanner, an AI-powered scanning application aimed at making document management faster, smarter, and more accessible for both personal and professional users. The announcement, made in Dubai, highlights the company’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence and multilingual functionality to meet the needs of global and regional users, particularly in the UAE and the wider Middle East.
A key addition to the new Zoho Scanner is full Arabic language support, allowing users to scan, translate, and manage Arabic documents seamlessly. This feature is expected to benefit businesses, government offices, and individuals in the region who rely on Arabic-language paperwork for daily operations.
Beyond traditional scanning functions, Zoho Scanner now employs AI to handle tasks such as automatic document edge detection, image enhancement, and background noise reduction. It also integrates high-accuracy optical character recognition (OCR) and built-in translation for multiple languages, which can be useful for cross-border businesses or multicultural teams operating in the UAE.

The application uses AI-based auto-tagging and categorisation to help users organise their digital files efficiently. It offers cross-platform compatibility, enabling access via mobile devices, desktops, or browsers, and integrates directly with other Zoho ecosystem tools such as Zoho CRM, WorkDrive, and Expense. This makes it a practical solution for companies that are digitising workflows or transitioning to paperless environments.
Zoho’s rollout of the new Scanner aligns with the UAE’s Paperless Strategy 2021–2025, which encourages the adoption of digital alternatives to reduce paper use across government and private sectors. The company positions Zoho Scanner as a secure and affordable document management tool that upholds privacy standards while leveraging AI for productivity.
Priced at AED 79 per year for the Pro version, Zoho Scanner is available through iOS, Android, and web platforms. It continues Zoho’s broader emphasis on privacy-first software and integrated productivity solutions, offering an accessible entry point for individuals and enterprises looking to modernise document handling and archiving.
