Yango Group introduces AI-supported yoga and meditation at Dubai Fitness Challenge

Yango Group is introducing an AI-supported yoga and meditation session as part of this year’s Dubai Fitness Challenge, positioning the event as a blend of physical activity, mindfulness, and emerging technology. The session, scheduled for November 26 at Kite Beach within the Dubai Future Foundation’s “Our Future(s)” setup, pairs a professional instructor with Yasmina, the company’s bilingual AI assistant. Participants will move through a 40-minute yoga routine followed by a short guided meditation, with the AI providing ambient audio cues and simple verbal prompts in both English and Arabic.

The use of AI in wellness settings has gradually expanded over the past few years, often framed as an accessible entry point for people looking to build consistent habits. In this case, Yasmina’s role focuses on language support, mood setting, and conversational interaction rather than replacing the instructor. Yango Group representatives describe the collaboration as an example of how digital tools can be incorporated into everyday routines, though the real test will be whether participants find the AI element genuinely helpful or simply a novelty within a broader fitness festival.

The session includes a giveaway in which the AI assistant will select several attendees to receive a Yango AI Speaker — a device promoted for playing music, providing simple lifestyle reminders, and offering wellness-oriented prompts like affirmations and workout motivation. While AI speakers are common in many households, Yango is positioning its products as accessible to both English and Arabic speakers, aiming for a broader regional user base. The company currently sells multiple variants of its devices through major UAE retailers, ranging from compact models like Yasmina Lite to larger versions designed for home audio.

The Dubai Future Foundation’s “Our Future(s)” installation, where the yoga session will be held, is set up as an interactive beachside space exploring the relationship between sport, health, and emerging technology. Alongside the yoga area, visitors can try activities such as basketball against a robotic arm that adjusts difficulty based on performance, as well as stations that track vitals or offer hydration guidance. These demonstrations reflect an ongoing push to present technology as part of everyday wellness, though many concepts remain exploratory rather than fully integrated into mainstream fitness routines.

Those interested in attending the AI-assisted yoga session can register in advance, as capacity is limited and sign-ups will close once the participant limit is reached. Whether this event becomes a recurring feature will depend on public interest and the practical value attendees see in mixing structured instruction with AI-driven interaction.
