Xiaomi has introduced the MIX Flip 2, its latest foldable smartphone, adding to a growing field of vertically folding handsets. Designed as a direct alternative to models like Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip and Motorola’s Razr series, the MIX Flip 2 brings a familiar clamshell form factor with updated internals and display enhancements.
At the core of the MIX Flip 2 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, known this year as the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It’s paired with several memory and storage configurations, ranging from 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage up to 16GB with 1TB, reflecting the device’s flagship positioning. Powering everything is a 5,165mAh battery—notably large for a foldable—which may help address common concerns about battery life in this category.
Externally, the device features a 3.5-inch AMOLED cover display that offers 3200 nits peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with reinforced glass for added durability. The internal screen unfolds to 6.86 inches and mirrors those same specs, while also supporting Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, providing a well-rounded viewing experience.

The camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide, with video capabilities that include 8K recording at 24fps. A 32MP front-facing camera supports 4K video capture, catering to users focused on selfies and video calls.
Available in White, Purple, Green, and a patterned Checkered Gold, the MIX Flip 2 starts at 5,999 RMB (approximately $840). A Special Edition version is also being released, featuring a color scheme that matches Xiaomi’s recently announced YU7 EV, though it shares the same starting price and hardware specifications.
