WhatsApp has rolled out a new update for iOS users, bringing a convenient Home Screen widget and improved camera functionality. The update, version 24.21.81, allows users to add a dedicated WhatsApp widget to their Home Screen for quick access to their most important chats.

The new widget offers four different options: Recents, Favorites, Pinned, or Frequently Contacted. This allows users to personalize their Home Screen and prioritize the chats they access most often.

In addition to the widget, WhatsApp has enhanced its in-app camera with zoom capabilities. Users can now zoom from 0.5x to 3x, providing greater flexibility when capturing photos or videos within the app.

The update also introduces the ability to mention other users in Status updates. By tapping the “@” button in the composer, users can directly tag their contacts in their Status posts, increasing engagement and interaction.

These new features are expected to roll out to all iOS users over the coming weeks, enhancing the overall WhatsApp experience with improved convenience and functionality.
