What to expect from the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro launching March 19

OnePlus is preparing to introduce a new pair of mid-range wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro, with a full announcement scheduled for March 19. Ahead of that event, the company has shared several early details about the upcoming model. The Nord Buds 4 Pro will follow the Nord Buds 3 Pro released last year and appear positioned as an incremental update focused on noise cancellation, call quality, and driver improvements.

One of the more visible hardware changes in the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro is the inclusion of a six-microphone system intended to improve voice clarity during calls. Each earbud contains three microphones that work together with software-based noise reduction. The system, referred to by the company as “Six-Mic AI Clear Call,” is designed to isolate the speaker’s voice while minimizing surrounding background noise. Multi-mic setups are increasingly common in wireless earbuds, particularly in environments such as public transit, offices, or outdoor areas where ambient sound can interfere with conversations.

Audio performance in the Nord Buds 4 Pro relies on 12mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers. Larger drivers are typically used in earbuds to improve low-frequency response and overall sound output. According to the specifications released so far, the titanium coating is intended to improve durability and maintain driver stability during higher volume playback. OnePlus suggests the driver system offers stronger output compared with the previous generation, though exact performance measurements have not been detailed.

The earbuds will also include support for spatial audio processing. This includes both general 3D spatial audio and a gaming-focused spatial audio mode that attempts to create a wider soundstage during gameplay. While spatial audio features have become more common across consumer audio products, their effectiveness often depends on software tuning and the type of content being played.

Another notable feature is support for the LHDC 5.0 codec, a high-resolution wireless audio format that allows higher bitrate transmission than standard Bluetooth codecs. In practice, users will only benefit from LHDC if the earbuds are paired with compatible smartphones and streaming sources that support the format.

Active Noise Cancellation is another area OnePlus is emphasizing with the Nord Buds 4 Pro. The earbuds are rated to reduce external noise by up to 55 decibels. This level of noise suppression places the model within the higher range for earbuds in the mid-tier market. The ANC system has also received certification from TÜV Rheinland, a testing organization that evaluates electronics for performance and safety standards.

The earbuds use stem-based touch controls that also support swipe gestures. These allow users to adjust volume, skip tracks, or control playback without interacting directly with their smartphone. Gesture-based controls have become a standard feature in recent wireless earbuds, though usability often depends on software responsiveness and customization options in the companion app.

From a design perspective, the Nord Buds 4 Pro will be available in two color options: Radiant Gray and Raven Black. Each earbud weighs approximately 4.4 grams, keeping them within the typical weight range for in-ear wireless designs. OnePlus has also reduced the size of the charging case by more than 10 percent compared with the previous model, which may make it easier to carry in pockets or small bags.

Additional information such as battery life, pricing, and international availability has not yet been confirmed. Those details are expected to be announced during the official launch event on March 19. After release, the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro will be sold through online retailers including Amazon India and Flipkart, as well as the company’s official online store and offline retail partners.
