Apple today unveiled watchOS 11, promising a significant boost to Apple Watch capabilities. This fall, users can expect a slew of new features designed to enhance health tracking, fitness monitoring, and personalized experiences.

Key Highlights:

  • Vitals App: Gain deeper insights into your health with a comprehensive view of key metrics like heart rate,respiratory rate, and sleep data. Receive personalized notifications and insights when your metrics deviate from your normal range.
  • Training Load: Track the impact of your workouts on your body over time, helping you make informed decisions about your training schedule.
  • Customizable Activity Rings: Pause your rings for rest days or injuries without affecting your streaks, and set unique goals for different days of the week.
  • Smart Stack and Photos Face: Enjoy intelligent personalization with widgets tailored to your daily routine and a Photos watch face that automatically selects your best shots.
  • Enhanced Connectivity: Stay connected and safe with Check In on Apple Watch, even during workouts, and access the Translate app directly on your wrist.

Additional Features:

  • Expanded Workout Types: Track your distance in various sports, including soccer, football, skiing, and golf.
  • Custom Pool Swims: Create personalized interval-based workouts for your pool swims.
  • Apple Maps Integration: Access offline hiking trails for U.S. national parks and create custom walking routes.
  • Enhanced Ticketing and Apple Cash: Enjoy improved ticket information and send/receive Apple Cash with a tap.

Developer Tools:

Availability:

The watchOS 11 developer beta is available now, with a public beta coming next month. The official release is expected this fall as a free update for Apple Watch Series 6 and later.
