Ugreen’s new NASync DH2300 makes home storage simple and affordable

Ugreen has launched its latest consumer-focused network-attached storage (NAS) device, the NASync DH2300, designed to bring simple, affordable local storage to home users who want more control over their data. Starting at $209.99, the two-bay NAS joins the company’s higher-end four-bay DH4300 Plus model ($429.99) and aims to offer an accessible alternative to cloud services like iCloud, without the usual complexity associated with NAS systems.

The NASync DH2300 supports up to 60TB of total capacity, with each of its two SATA bays accommodating drives of up to 30TB. That makes it suitable for users who want to manage large media libraries, including 4K video, high-resolution photography, and extensive work files, directly at home. Unlike many storage devices that require proprietary hardware, the DH2300 is compatible with standard NAS hard drives, allowing users to choose drives that fit their budget and capacity needs.

Ease of setup is a key focus for Ugreen. The company says the DH2300 can be configured in under 10 minutes, using its UGOS Pro operating system, which guides users through installation and network setup with visual prompts and clear language. The companion mobile app further simplifies access, offering tools for file management, automatic photo backups from iPhones, and direct media streaming to Apple TV and other devices. NFC pairing also lets users connect an iPhone instantly with a single tap, avoiding manual network configurations.

For privacy and security, the DH2300 features multiple protection layers, including TLS/SSL, RSA, and AES encryption standards for data in transit and at rest. Two-factor authentication is built in, and its local-first architecture ensures that files stay within the user’s home network by default, unless remote access is manually enabled. A dedicated File Vault option provides an additional level of privacy for sensitive documents, isolating them from other shared users on the network. The device has been independently certified by TÜV and TRUSTe for security and compliance.

For added versatility, the DH2300 includes a 4K 60Hz HDMI output, allowing users to connect it directly to a display for viewing photos, videos, or presentations without streaming. It supports multiple RAID configurations, enabling users to balance between maximum capacity or data redundancy for backup protection.

The Ugreen NASync DH2300 and DH4300 Plus are now available through Amazon, Ugreen’s online store, and select retailers. Both models reinforce Ugreen’s goal of making personal cloud storage easier and more affordable for non-technical users who want to retain control over their digital content.
