UGREEN has introduced a new range of Thunderbolt 5 docking stations, expanding its desktop connectivity lineup as demand grows for higher-bandwidth accessories that can support modern laptops and multi-display workstations. The new Maxidok series is part of the company’s Revodok family of docking products and is now available for pre-order ahead of a wider retail release later this month.
The launch reflects a broader shift in laptop design. As devices continue to become thinner and lighter, many manufacturers have reduced the number of physical ports. While this design approach improves portability, it also increases reliance on docking stations and hubs to restore connectivity for external monitors, storage devices, networking, and peripherals. At the same time, workflows involving high-resolution media, external GPUs, and fast storage systems are placing greater demands on bandwidth.
The Maxidok lineup adopts Thunderbolt 5, the latest version of the high-speed interface developed to handle these demands. Compared with previous generations, Thunderbolt 5 significantly increases available bandwidth, reaching up to 120Gbps under certain configurations. This capacity is designed to support more demanding setups such as multiple high-resolution displays, large file transfers, and simultaneous connections to storage and networking devices.

UGREEN’s lineup includes three models aimed at different desktop setups. The flagship device, the Maxidok 17-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Dock, focuses on offering a broad set of connections through a single unit. The dock integrates 17 ports covering data transfer, display output, networking, storage expansion, and power delivery. It supports up to 120Gbps bandwidth and includes built-in M.2 SSD expansion, allowing users to add internal storage directly inside the dock. This configuration can help reduce reliance on separate external drives, particularly for tasks that involve large media files such as 4K video projects.
The dock also delivers up to 240W of total power output, which can supply energy to laptops, phones, and connected devices simultaneously. For display support, it allows a single 8K display at 60Hz or dual 6K displays at 60Hz on macOS systems, while Windows configurations can support up to three independent displays depending on hardware compatibility.
Alongside the flagship model, UGREEN is offering a more compact 10-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 desktop hub. This version is intended for users who need fewer ports but still want access to high-speed connectivity. The hub includes dual Thunderbolt 5 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and multiple display outputs while delivering up to 140W of power, including up to 100W dedicated to laptop charging. By combining commonly used ports into a single device, the hub aims to reduce the need for additional adapters.
The third product in the lineup targets users of Apple’s Mac mini. The 10-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Mac mini dock is designed to align with the physical dimensions of the Mac mini M4 chassis and sits directly beneath the computer. According to the company, the design maintains airflow while adding extra connectivity. The dock includes built-in M.2 SSD expansion, USB-A ports, SD and microSD 4.0 card readers, and a cooling system that combines an aluminum heatsink with an internal fan to manage thermal performance.
Like the other models, the Mac mini dock supports high-resolution displays through Thunderbolt 5, including a single 8K display at 60Hz or dual 6K displays at 60Hz without requiring additional display drivers on macOS.
The broader aim of the Maxidok series is to provide a centralized connection point for users working with complex setups. High-resolution video editing, multi-display office environments, 3D production workflows, and gaming setups are examples of scenarios where docking stations help reduce cable clutter while maintaining performance.
The flagship 17-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 dock is priced at €459.99 or £419.99, while the standard 10-in-1 model is listed at €299.99 or £249.99. Both are available for pre-order through UGREEN’s official website, with general sales expected to begin on March 24 through Amazon and other retail channels. The Mac mini-specific dock is scheduled for release later, with availability expected in late April or early May.
UGREEN, founded in 2012, produces a range of consumer electronics accessories including cables, charging solutions, storage devices, and connectivity hardware. The company has expanded its portfolio in recent years, adding products such as network-attached storage devices and higher-performance desktop accessories as computing workflows continue to evolve.
