Tecno has officially unveiled the Spark Slim and Pova Slim, its thinnest smartphones to date, after teasing an ultra-thin concept earlier this year. Both models focus heavily on design, pushing boundaries on how slim a phone can be while still delivering respectable performance and battery life.
The Tecno Spark Slim is the standout, measuring just 5.75mm thick—almost identical to the earlier concept version. Despite its size, it carries a 5,160mAh battery thanks to Tecno’s custom Honeycomb space-stacking technology, which allows the battery to be only 4.04mm thick. A 0.3mm vapor chamber helps regulate heat, while the back of the phone uses aerospace-grade fiberglass that measures only 0.36mm.

The Spark Slim also features a Mood Light LED bar for animated notifications and lighting effects, giving it some personality to go along with the hardware. Both the Spark Slim and Pova Slim use a 50MP main rear camera, but Tecno’s clear priority here is design and display rather than a stacked camera system.

On the front, both models carry curved AMOLED displays with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits—figures that compete with some flagships. The Spark Slim runs on MediaTek’s Helio G200 chip, while the Pova Slim upgrades to the Dimensity 6400, bringing 5G connectivity.
Other specs include 45W wired charging, 10W reverse wired charging, and Android 15 with Tecno’s HiOS skin and AI-powered tools. Pricing and release details have not been confirmed, but Tecno is expected to reveal more at its upcoming September 4 event.
