Tecno MegaPad 2, Watch GT 1s and FreeHear 2 debut alongside OneLeap

At Mobile World Congress 2026, TECNO outlined an update to its connected device strategy with the introduction of TECNO OneLeap, a cross-device platform designed to link smartphones, tablets, PCs, and audio products under a single interface. Alongside the platform announcement, the company introduced three new products: the MEGAPAD 2 AI tablet, the Watch GT 1S smartwatch, and the FreeHear 2 open-ear earbuds.

TECNO OneLeap functions as a multi-device interconnection system. Devices are automatically detected and can be paired through a simplified drag-and-drop or tap-based process. The company positions the platform as a way to reduce repeated logins and manual configuration, consolidating device discovery, connection management, and cross-device controls into one dashboard.

The system supports three-device collaboration simultaneously across smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Trusted devices reconnect automatically once paired. Features such as keyboard and mouse sharing allow users to control up to three screens with a single input setup. A unified clipboard enables text and file transfers across devices, including copying images from a phone and pasting them into documents on a tablet or laptop. These tools are intended to streamline multitasking across multiple displays.

OneLeap also includes display extension modes. A smartphone can mirror to a laptop, while a tablet can serve as an extended PC display to create a three-screen workspace. In Phone Widescreen Extension mode, optimized for tablet aspect ratios, smartphone and tablet activities remain separate, allowing parallel workflows instead of simple screen mirroring.

The platform integrates real-time translation when paired with compatible TECNO audio devices. According to the company, face-to-face translation supports more than 160 languages, with translated speech delivered through earbuds and transcripts stored on the connected phone.

The MEGAPAD 2 features an 11-inch 2.5K display with a 90Hz refresh rate and TÜV Low Blue Light certification. The tablet has a 6.6mm chassis and runs HiOS. Its software includes AI-driven tools such as problem-solving assistance for students, translation across images, calls, and meetings in up to 140 languages, and document summarization and writing refinement. Through OneLeap, the tablet supports file sharing and PC display extension.

The Watch GT 1S includes dual-band L1 and L5 GPS for improved positioning accuracy in dense urban or remote areas. Health tracking features include heart rate, blood oxygen, stress monitoring, and sleep analysis. TECNO claims up to 15 days of battery life under typical use and 5ATM water resistance. The smartwatch also supports customizable AI-generated watch faces using text-to-image or image-based prompts.

The FreeHear 2 earbuds weigh 5.4 grams per side and use a C-bridge clip design intended for open-ear comfort and stability. They feature a 10.8mm dual-magnetic dynamic driver and support spatial audio playback. Total battery life is rated at up to 46 hours, with a five-minute charge delivering over one hour of listening time.

The MEGAPAD 2, Watch GT 1S, and FreeHear 2 are scheduled to roll out in selected global markets during the first and second quarters of 2026. Regional pricing and final specifications will be announced at local launch events.
