Synology hosted its Solution Day 2025 in the UAE this week, bringing together over 200 industry professionals to unveil its latest enterprise solutions focused on strengthening cyber resilience. The company also presented findings from its new 2025 Enterprise Survey, which sheds light on regional challenges facing IT leaders as digital infrastructure grows more complex and hybrid environments become the norm.
Antoine Yang, Regional Sales Manager at Synology, said that while hybrid cloud adoption is accelerating across UAE enterprises, managing multiple environments securely and cost-effectively remains a major concern. “Enterprises in the UAE are increasingly adopting hybrid cloud strategies to gain flexibility and drive innovation,” he noted. “But balancing security, performance, and cost efficiency is key to achieving true cyber resilience.”
According to the Synology 2025 Enterprise Survey, fewer than 18 percent of organizations in the Middle East and Africa feel confident about managing the rising tide of cyber threats. Around one-third of respondents reported experiencing data loss or a security incident within the past year. Although nearly 71 percent of IT leaders prioritize security within their infrastructure, cost continues to be a barrier — with 63 percent saying budget constraints hinder their ability to maintain business continuity.
At the event, Synology showcased several new solutions designed to address these issues. The PAS Series, featuring active-active dual controllers and end-to-end NVMe technology, delivers high availability and rapid performance for critical enterprise workloads. The GS Series provides a scale-out system capable of supporting petabyte-level capacity across multiple nodes, helping businesses expand storage without compromising speed or reliability.
The company also highlighted updates to its ActiveProtect suite, including the DP7200 appliance and APM1.1 platform, which introduce expanded workload coverage and stronger immutability features. Technologies such as Write Once, Read Many (WORM) and network isolation enable air-gapped backups and help organizations implement a 3-2-1-1-0 backup strategy — ensuring data integrity and recoverability even after an attack.
Beyond infrastructure, Synology emphasized productivity and data sovereignty with its AI Console and new unified communication tools. The system integrates messaging, video conferencing, and document management under a single platform, supported by on-premises AI servers for secure, customizable automation. These developments align with the UAE’s national goals of advancing digital transformation while maintaining local data control.
“In markets like the UAE, where control, cost efficiency, and scalability are paramount, our approach ensures that data stays local, protected, and easy to manage — while giving enterprises the flexibility to grow with confidence,” Yang said.
With its growing portfolio of data management, storage, and AI-driven collaboration tools, Synology aims to redefine enterprise cyber resilience by combining robust protection with operational efficiency — positioning its latest systems as foundational components for organizations navigating digital transformation in the region.
