Sandisk has teamed up with Crayola to introduce a new line of colorful, crayon-shaped USB-C flash drives that merge playful design with practical storage. The SANDISK Crayola USB-C Flash Drive, announced on October 27, 2025, marks the first officially licensed Crayola-branded flash drive and aims to make digital organization more creative and fun for students, teachers, and families.

The collaboration brings together Sandisk’s expertise in flash storage with Crayola’s legacy of inspiring creativity for over a century. The drives feature a familiar crayon silhouette and come packaged in Crayola-style boxes, available in four bright colors—Mango Tango, Cerulean Blue, Electric Lime, and Vivid Violet. In North America, Vivid Violet will be sold exclusively through Walmart until January 2026.

Beyond their playful look, the drives are designed for everyday functionality. Users can store schoolwork, art projects, photos, and other creative content with up to 256GB of capacity. When connected to a computer, a distinctive Crayola icon appears in the “Files” app to make identifying the drive simple. Files can be organized and backed up across multiple devices using the Sandisk Memory Zone app, compatible with Windows, macOS, and tablets, ensuring easy file transfer and data protection.

“Creativity takes many forms, and our role at Sandisk is to ensure it’s protected and easy to share,” said Philippe Willams, Director of Business Development, Strategic Partnerships and Licensing at Sandisk. “Partnering with Crayola brings together our expertise in storage with a brand that has inspired generations, giving students, parents, and teachers a fun and nostalgic way to preserve and share their most creative work.”

Crayola’s Licensing Director-International, Rob Spindley, said the partnership reflects how creativity has evolved in the digital age. “From young artists bringing their ideas to life on paper to saving their work digitally, to photographers capturing the world around them, we’re thrilled to partner with Sandisk to help support today’s diverse community of creators.”

Each drive also comes with a three-month subscription to Crayola Create & Play and access to Thinking Sheets, interactive activities designed to encourage creativity and self-expression.

The SANDISK Crayola USB-C Flash Drive is compatible with USB-C devices, including tablets, computers, and smartphones, allowing easy file transfers between platforms. Its combination of nostalgic design and practical utility underscores both brands’ shared mission—to support imagination while making digital life simpler and more secure.
