At Gamescom 2025, Samsung Electronics revealed the latest entries in its Odyssey lineup, introducing new large-format Odyssey G7 monitors alongside an expanded push into glasses-free 3D gaming. The company is using this year’s event to showcase its hardware while partnering with major studios to demonstrate how its displays perform with some of the industry’s most anticipated titles.

The Odyssey G7 (G75F model) arrives in two new sizes—a 37-inch 4K UHD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and Samsung’s first 40-inch Wide UHD option, offering a 21:9 aspect ratio with 5K2K resolution. Both screens support Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture features for multitasking, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, HDR10+ Gaming, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Brightness levels reach 350 nits, and additional features include CoreSync lighting, Auto Source Switch+, and flexible connectivity through one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. The design includes adjustable height, tilt, and swivel options, catering to different setups. Gamescom visitors can try Genshin Impact on the new displays at Samsung’s booth. The monitors are already available in Korea and the U.S., with a European release planned for September.

Samsung also used Gamescom to highlight its Odyssey 3D ecosystem, powered by the G90XF monitor, which delivers glasses-free 3D gameplay. New partnerships were announced with Netmarble and SHIFT UP, bringing MONGIL: STAR DIVE and Stellar Blade into the 3D lineup. Visitors can try both games at the booth in 3D for the first time. The Odyssey 3D Hub currently supports over 25 titles, with plans to reach 50 by year’s end, including Lies of P: Overture. Samsung says its approach adapts depth effects to individual games, with adjustable settings that let players control 3D visuals without specialized eyewear.

Beyond its own booth, Samsung is supplying Odyssey OLED monitors to major partners across Gamescom. Blizzard is outfitting the World of Warcraft area with more than 80 units of the Odyssey OLED G6, a 500Hz display designed for ultra-responsive gameplay. Meanwhile, Pearl Abyss is showcasing its upcoming title Crimson Desert across nearly 180 stations equipped with the G6 and the 4K, 240Hz Odyssey OLED G8. These collaborations allow visitors to experience unreleased titles on high-refresh, high-resolution displays that emphasize visual detail and responsiveness.

By debuting the new Odyssey G7 and expanding Odyssey 3D through developer partnerships, Samsung is continuing its effort to position its monitors as a central part of premium gaming setups. With the addition of OLED displays at partner booths, the company is also using Gamescom to underscore its role in shaping how upcoming titles are first experienced by players.
