Samsung has added a new device to its Galaxy S25 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S25 FE. Positioned as a more affordable entry point into the Galaxy ecosystem, the phone inherits many of the series’ flagship features, including Galaxy AI tools, upgraded cameras, and long-term software support.
At the center of the S25 FE is Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI integration through One UI 8. The update introduces multimodal AI agents that respond to voice, touch, and visual input, designed to make everyday interactions more intuitive. Features include Gemini Live, which provides real-time contextual answers using the phone’s camera, and Now Bar and Now Brief, which surface updates and personalized information directly on the lock screen. Google’s Circle to Search also makes an appearance, allowing users to pull up information or tips from within apps and games.
Samsung emphasizes data security alongside these AI features. The phone ships with Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP), which isolates app data within encrypted environments. Together with on-device processing through Galaxy’s Personal Data Engine, the approach limits reliance on cloud storage and reinforces privacy safeguards.

On the hardware side, the S25 FE comes with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with an enhanced Armor Aluminum frame for improved durability. A 4,900mAh battery supports 45W wired charging, and a redesigned vapor chamber—10% larger than before—helps manage heat during demanding tasks. Samsung is also promising seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, extending the phone’s lifespan well beyond typical mid-range devices.
Cameras receive notable upgrades as well. The 12MP front-facing camera benefits from Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, boosting clarity in selfies and video calls. On the rear, AI-powered editing tools expand creative options: Generative Editcan remove background distractions, Instant Slow-mo can transform standard clips into slow-motion, and Audio Eraserisolates or removes unwanted sound in recorded footage. Nightography has been improved with a low-noise mode, while Super HDR video aims to deliver better color and contrast in dynamic lighting.
The phone will be available in Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White, aligning with the design language of the broader S25 family but with a slightly more playful look. Samsung is also pairing the launch with the introduction of the Galaxy Buds3 FE, which provide seamless integration with the new phone for media and communication.
The Galaxy S25 FE is now available in select markets and includes six months of access to Google’s AI Pro plan, giving users expanded features in apps like Gemini, Flow, and NotebookLM.
