OpenAI has a new CEO…well, kind of

GEEK DESK

Sam Altman is confirmed as returning CEO for OpenAI. After days of discussions and rumors, the company has said that Altman is coming back to the helm after it has reached an “agreement in principle”. Altman was fired from the company amid controversy last week.

We have reached an agreement in principle for Sam Altman to return to OpenAI as CEO with a new initial board of Bret Taylor (Chair), Larry Summers, and Adam D'Angelo.

We are collaborating to figure out the details. Thank you so much for your patience through this.
