Reolink Altas PT Ultra launches in UAE with 500-day battery and 4K smart surveillance

Reolink has officially released the Altas PT Ultra in the UAE, adding a flagship-tier product to its growing Altas Series. Designed with durability, usability, and local conditions in mind, the new model aims to set a higher standard for smart home security—particularly in outdoor settings that demand more than just basic protection.

The Altas PT Ultra isn’t just another high-resolution camera—it’s engineered for endurance. With a standout 500-day battery life and optional solar panel integration, the device is tailor-made for regions like the Middle East where dust, high temperatures, and unreliable power sources often limit the effectiveness of conventional systems. These specifications alone put it in a different class, especially for homeowners looking for long-term, maintenance-light solutions.

A key selling point is its 4K ColorX Ultra HD imaging, which maintains clarity and rich detail across all lighting conditions—including low light, without relying solely on infrared night vision. Combined with a 360-degree pan-tilt mechanism and automatic subject tracking, the camera is equipped to deliver full-scene awareness, following movement intelligently rather than relying on static framing or narrow fields of view.

But its real value lies in the practicality of its features. The Altas PT Ultra includes AI-based motion detection, PIR-triggered alerts, and support for up to 512GB of local storage, removing the need for cloud subscriptions and minimizing long-term costs. When connected to a solar panel, the camera can offer up to 96 hours of continuous video capture, making it a strong option for semi-remote installations or security setups prone to power interruptions.

Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 ensures better connectivity, allowing users to stream high-definition footage without lag. It also introduces pre-event recording, capturing up to 10 seconds of footage before a motion-triggered clip begins—an often-overlooked feature that can be critical in reconstructing events or understanding what led up to a security incident.

According to Sameer Ali Syed, Regional Head of Sales for Reolink in the Middle East, Africa, and India, “The Altas PT Ultra is one of our most awarded devices, combining intelligent 4K imaging with a form factor that aligns with both performance demands and design sensibilities. It’s a device built to elevate home security while addressing the everyday realities of our region.”

Winner of the 2025 Berlin Design Award, the Altas PT Ultra balances aesthetics with function—unusual in a product category often driven solely by specs. It targets consumers who want more than surveillance; it offers peace of mind with a layer of reliability often missing from cloud-dependent systems.

Reolink’s new model is now available across major retail channels in the GCC, including Amazon, Noon (UAE and KSA), Sharaf DG, Shouki Electronics, Al Maria Computers, Al Ershad Computers, AYB Security, Al Nawath Al Uwlaa Trading, Afaq, and Hulool Trading.
