OPPO introduces Reno15 Series in the GCC with focus on cameras and battery life

OPPO has launched its Reno15 Series across the GCC, adding three new smartphones to its mid-to-upper range portfolio: the Reno15 Pro 5G, Reno15 5G, and Reno15 F 5G. The launch event took place in Dubai, using Ain Dubai as a backdrop, and positions the series around the idea of capturing everyday moments from multiple perspectives. While the presentation leaned heavily into creative language, the practical focus of the lineup is clear: upgraded cameras, larger batteries, and software refinements aimed at sustained daily use.

At the center of the Reno15 Series is an emphasis on front-facing photography. All models introduce a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, designed to better accommodate group shots, travel footage, and casual video creation without external accessories. On the rear, the Reno15 Pro 5G and Reno15 5G add a 50MP telephoto portrait camera with a focal length close to the traditional 85mm standard, intended to deliver more natural-looking portraits. The Reno15 Pro 5G further distinguishes itself with a 200MP main camera, offering high-resolution capture that allows for cropping flexibility rather than radically changing day-to-day shooting behavior.

OPPO has paired the camera hardware with updated software tools, including refined portrait processing, skin tone adjustments, and an updated flash system aimed at producing more even lighting in low-light scenes. Video features such as 4K HDR recording, dual-view video, and stabilization are clearly targeted at social media creators, though they align with capabilities now common among competing devices in this segment. Editing tools like object removal and layered photo effects are integrated directly into the system, reducing reliance on third-party apps.

Beyond imaging, battery life and charging are key selling points. Depending on the model, the Reno15 Series offers batteries reaching beyond 6,500mAh, paired with 80W fast charging. These specifications place the devices firmly in line with current expectations for heavy daily usage, rather than pushing new boundaries. The phones ship with ColorOS 16, which introduces performance optimization features and a set of AI-assisted utilities for translation, call support, and content organization. OPPO has also committed to a six-year fluency certification, signaling long-term software stability, though this does not necessarily equate to six years of major operating system updates.

Design remains familiar, with modest refinements inspired by earlier Reno models. Display sizes range from a compact 6.32 inches on the Pro model to larger 120Hz panels on the standard and F variants. Durability features such as water and dust resistance and touch responsiveness with wet hands suggest an effort to make the devices more resilient in everyday conditions.

Pricing and availability

The OPPO Reno15 Series will be available in the UAE in a range of attractive colours, available for pre-order from 22-28 January 2026.

The Reno15 Pro 5G is available for AED 2,599 in Dusk Brown and Aurora Blue featuring 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM. The Reno15 5G is priced at AED 2,199 in Twilight Blue and Aurora White, also with 12GB RAM and 512GB ROM. Customers will receive a complimentary O-Choice Gift Box, which includes a watch and earbuds, along with 12-months screen protection warranty and a 12-month extended warranty, all valued at AED 999.
