OPPO is set to launch its Find X9 Series globally on October 28, 2025, in Barcelona, marking the international debut of the lineup after its initial release in China. The Find X9 and Find X9 Pro aim to strengthen OPPO’s position in the premium smartphone market with a focus on advanced imaging, display quality, and refined software through ColorOS 16.
At the center of this release is the collaboration between OPPO and Hasselblad, continuing their shared effort to improve smartphone photography. Both models come equipped with the Hasselblad Master Camera System powered by OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine, a computational photography framework designed to enhance color accuracy and low-light detail. The Find X9 Pro introduces a 200MP Hasselblad telephoto lens co-engineered for optical precision and tonal accuracy, targeting users who expect DSLR-level results from a mobile device.
The Find X9 Series also emphasizes high-quality video production. Users can record at up to 4K 120 frames per second in Dolby Vision, while features such as LOG recording with ACES support make it suitable for professional color grading workflows. Stage Mode and AI Sound Focus optimize clarity in live performance settings, suggesting that OPPO’s camera system is intended not just for snapshots but for serious creative use.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on a 3nm process. This makes the Find X9 Series one of the first smartphones to use the platform, offering improvements in efficiency and heat management. Battery life is another focus, with OPPO’s third-generation silicon-carbon batteries providing capacities of 7025mAh and 7500mAh in the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro respectively. The company claims these can last up to two days under typical usage.
ColorOS 16 debuts with the series, bringing new design and AI-driven enhancements. Its Seamless Animation feature and Luminous Rendering Engine work together to smooth transitions and reduce visual lag. The Trinity Engine further optimizes system resources for consistent performance. Features like AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, and Master Cut expand creative editing options, while the Flux Home Screen introduces adaptive folder resizing and layout flexibility.
For cross-device connectivity, O+ Connect now supports both Windows and macOS, allowing users to manage files, control PCs remotely, and mirror multiple apps from phone to computer. These features suggest OPPO is refining its ecosystem integration rather than focusing solely on hardware specs.
In collaboration with Discovery Channel, OPPO continues its “Every Culture Finds Its Stage” campaign, encouraging users to capture and share cultural expressions worldwide using the Find X9’s Hasselblad Telephoto camera. The project underscores the company’s strategy of positioning the Find X9 Series as a tool for storytelling and creative documentation rather than just a technological upgrade.
The global launch event on October 28 will reveal pricing, regional availability, and further details about the Find X9 lineup and ColorOS 16.
