Say goodbye to the annoyance of opening WhatsApp just to block spam! The app has rolled out a handy new feature that lets you block unwanted messages directly from your lock screen.
Now, when a suspicious message pops up, simply long-press the notification. A menu appears, offering the option to block the sender instantly. No more navigating through chats or hunting for menus!
This update adds to existing options where you can block users directly from their message, but it saves even more time and hassle. It’s especially helpful for messages from unknown numbers, where WhatsApp already warns you about potential spam.
But it doesn’t stop there! If you want to report the contact as spam, simply tick the “Report contact” checkbox while blocking. This helps WhatsApp fight spam more effectively.
