Nothing has introduced the Phone (4a) in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, alongside the Headphone (a), expanding its presence in the region’s mid-range smartphone and consumer audio segments. The launch comes at a time when demand for mid-tier devices with higher-end features continues to grow across the Middle East.
The Phone (4a) is positioned as a continuation of Nothing’s design-focused approach, retaining its transparent aesthetic while refining durability and build. The device features updated materials, reinforced structural elements, and IP64 protection, with limited resistance to water exposure. It is available in multiple color options, including black, white, blue, and pink, and will be sold through regional retailers such as Amazon, noon, Jumbo Electronics, and Sharaf DG in the UAE, with availability in Saudi Arabia beginning March 18 through similar partners.
Nothing Phone (4a)
From a hardware perspective, the Phone (4a) includes a multi-camera setup built around a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with optical image stabilization, alongside a 50MP main sensor, ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front camera. The system supports a wide zoom range and uses computational photography features, including AI-assisted tools for image adjustments and object removal. These additions reflect the broader trend of mid-range smartphones incorporating features that were previously limited to higher-end models.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. According to the company, this results in incremental improvements in processing performance and power efficiency compared to earlier models. Gaming performance targets higher refresh rates in supported titles, while AI-related tasks are also enhanced through updated processing capabilities.
On the software side, the Phone (4a) runs Nothing OS 4.1, based on Android 16. The interface focuses on customization and simplified navigation, with updates to widgets, multitasking, and system animations. AI-driven tools, including search, memory organization, and app-building features, are integrated into the operating system, reflecting the growing role of on-device AI in everyday smartphone use. The device is set to receive three years of Android updates and six years of security patches.
The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Brightness levels are designed to support outdoor visibility, while additional features such as PWM dimming aim to reduce eye strain during extended use. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, with improved resistance to scratches and drops.
Battery capacity is rated at 5080 mAh, with support for 50W fast charging. According to the company, this allows the device to reach 60% charge in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions. Battery longevity features are also included to help maintain performance over time.
A defining element of the device remains the Glyph interface, which uses LED lighting on the back of the phone for notifications and visual cues. The updated version introduces more segmented lighting zones and higher brightness, enabling more detailed alerts without relying solely on the main display.
Alongside the smartphone, Nothing has launched the Headphone (a), an over-ear audio product priced at AED 599 / SAR 699. The headphones are available in multiple color options and are designed to complement the brand’s broader hardware lineup. Battery life is rated at up to five days on a single charge, depending on usage.

The Phone (4a) is priced in the UAE starting at AED 1,199 for the base configuration, with higher storage variants reaching AED 1,599. In Saudi Arabia, pricing begins at SAR 1,399. The device’s release aligns with ongoing growth in the regional smartphone market, where consumers continue to look for a balance between price, performance, and feature sets.
