Nothing Phone (3a) Lite launches in UAE with flagship style at an accessible price

Nothing has unveiled the Phone (3a) Lite, its latest addition to the smartphone lineup, designed to make the brand’s distinctive style and software experience more accessible. Launching in the UAE and Saudi Arabia this month, the device introduces a refined version of Nothing’s transparent aesthetic, updated hardware, and the familiar Glyph Light system—all at a more attainable price point.

Rishi Kishor Gupta, Regional Director for MEA, described the model as a step toward broadening access to the brand’s ecosystem. “Phone (3a) Lite is about making the Nothing experience more accessible—the same attention to design, innovation, and detail, but at a price that welcomes more people in,” he said.

Design and build
The Phone (3a) Lite reinterprets Nothing’s recognizable transparent design language with a more understated look. Built with a glass back and an internal aluminum frame, the phone balances a polished aesthetic with durability. It also carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for daily use. Available in black and white, the handset maintains the minimalist style that defines Nothing’s design philosophy.

Camera system
A triple-camera setup built around a 50 MP main sensor powers the device’s photography features. Using the same TrueLens Engine 4.0 image-processing pipeline found in the flagship Phone (3), it combines optical precision with AI-driven editing tools. The 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor allows for greater light capture and improved clarity in low-light scenes. Modes include Ultra XDR, Portrait, Night, Macro, and Motion Capture. On the front, a 16 MP camera handles selfies and video calls, while 4K video recording at 30 fps and 1080p slow-motion at 120 fps provide flexibility for video creators.

Glyph light and interface
The updated Glyph Light builds on Nothing’s signature lighting interface. It supports silent notifications through Flip to Glyph, customizable light sequences for calls and contacts, and timed visual cues for photography. These subtle design features blend aesthetic flair with practical functionality.

Software and performance
Running on Nothing OS 3.5 (based on Android 15), the Phone (3a) Lite delivers a clean, intuitive interface that emphasizes simplicity and personalization. Features such as Smart Drawer, Private Space, and App Locker enhance organization and privacy, while built-in AI tools—like Essential Key and Essential Space—assist with note-taking and content management. The company has confirmed three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches, with Nothing OS 4.0 planned for release in early 2026.

The device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro processor, paired with 8 GB of RAM and up to 8 GB of virtual RAM. The 5000 mAh battery supports 33 W fast charging and 5 W reverse wired charging, with Nothing estimating up to two days of use on a full charge.

Display and connectivity
Its 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display delivers FHD+ resolution, 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, and peak HDR brightness of 3000 nits. With 10-bit color and 2160 Hz PWM dimming, the display is designed for smooth, flicker-free viewing even in outdoor lighting. The device supports dual 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and expandable storage of up to 2 TB via microSD.

Pricing and availability in the UAE
The Phone (3a) Lite will be available in two configurations:

  • 8 GB + 128 GB: AED 839
  • 8 GB + 256 GB: AED 949

Sales in the UAE begin on November 4 via Amazon and Noon, with Saudi Arabia following on November 15.
