Nothing Phone (2a) design mystery deepens: new renders spark confusion

Hold the (LED-studded) phone! Those previously leaked Nothing Phone (2a) renders might be completely off the mark. Leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer and SmartPrix have released what they claim are accurate images, rocking a radically different design.

The most striking change is the camera layout. Forget the vertical, iPhone-esque stack from the earlier leak. These new renders reveal a distinctive, centered dual-camera setup with side-by-side sensors. Glyph lighting seems to be intact, thankfully retaining Nothing’s unique visual flair.

The rest of the design remains consistent: flat edges, a punch-hole selfie camera, and familiar button placement. It reportedly measures 162.2 x 76.5 x 8.7mm.

SmartPrix also claims the phone might include a Dimensity 7200 Pro chip (an upgrade from earlier speculation). Nothing CEO, Carl Pei  confirmed that the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a will not be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip in a post on X as well.

❗SPOILER ALERT❗Not the Dimensity 7200 https://t.co/XYJNuuYxeo
