Nothing has launched its first full-size headphones, the Nothing Headphone 1, expanding beyond its existing range of earbuds and wireless audio products. The Headphone 1 marks the company’s entry into the competitive over-ear headphones market, with a design and feature set aimed at challenging established brands in the premium segment. The regional UAE / GCC launch is scheduled for 17th July.
The Headphone 1 follows Nothing’s distinctive industrial aesthetic, featuring a transparent exterior accented with signature red elements. Inside, it houses 40mm drivers tuned in collaboration with British audio brand KEF, aiming to deliver precise, balanced acoustics with clear highs and controlled bass. This partnership underscores Nothing’s intent to offer a listening experience that combines technical performance with its design-led approach.

The headphones support active noise cancellation through an advanced hybrid system that uses dual feed-forward and feedback microphones to effectively reduce ambient noise. According to Nothing, the noise cancellation system scans the user’s surroundings every 600 milliseconds and adapts in real time. Additionally, a dedicated wear-detection system tracks noise leakage between the ear cup and ear canal every 1875 milliseconds to maintain consistent and tailored noise cancellation regardless of fit or movement.
Spatial audio with head-tracking is also supported, adding dimensionality and directional awareness to music and video playback. This feature enhances immersion by adjusting audio positioning as the listener moves their head, aligning with trends seen in other flagship headphones. Connectivity has been designed for practical versatility, allowing the Headphone 1 to pair with two devices simultaneously for seamless switching between phone calls, music, or meetings across different devices.

Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei described the Headphone 1 as an evolution of the brand’s mission to make technology feel more engaging and personal. The design combines intuitive controls with the company’s transparent visual language, reinforcing its position as a tech brand that prioritises aesthetics alongside functionality.
The Nothing Headphone 1 launch represents a significant expansion of the company’s ecosystem, which until now has focused primarily on smartphones and earbuds. With these headphones, Nothing aims to offer an alternative to popular models from brands like Sony and Bose, combining active noise cancellation, spatial audio, and signature design cues to appeal to users seeking both style and performance in their audio products.
