Nothing expands Essential Space With Google Calendar sync and editable AI tools

Nothing has released a new software update to its Essential Space platform, bringing more user-centric tools aimed at improving everyday productivity. Delivered over Wi-Fi via the Google Play Store, the update doesn’t require a system-level upgrade, making adoption seamless for users of supported Nothing devices.

A standout addition in this rollout is direct integration with Google Calendar. Tasks created within Essential Space will now sync automatically with a user’s calendar, eliminating the need to manually copy or transfer information between apps. This integration streamlines task management and keeps scheduling more organized across platforms.

Another key feature is Editable Memory, which allows users to modify AI-generated summaries. Whether the assistant misinterprets a conversation or omits important context, users can now directly review and correct these entries. This not only improves accuracy but also adds a layer of transparency to AI-assisted functions.

The Essential Recorder tool also receives meaningful updates. Summaries generated from recorded audio—such as meetings, interviews, or voice memos—are now editable, aligning with the broader push for user-controlled AI output. Additionally, Nothing has introduced flexible export options. Users can now share recordings and their summaries as image files, PDFs, or Markdown documents. This makes it easier to distribute content in formats that are clean, readable, and compatible with various workflows.

These features are currently live on the newly launched Nothing Phone (3), with support for other devices featuring the Essential Key expected shortly. Users with compatible models can install the update through the Play Store without waiting for a full system patch, provided they’re connected to Wi-Fi.

The update underscores Nothing’s approach of layering productivity enhancements directly into its software ecosystem, rather than reserving them for flagship devices or major OS updates. By focusing on editable AI tools and integration with widely used services like Google Calendar, Essential Space becomes more functional for users who want better control over their data and daily routines.
