Nomad has introduced the Tracking Card Pro, an upgraded version of its Find My-compatible wallet tracker. Priced at $39, it builds on the company’s earlier $29 Tracking Card with a more discreet form factor and significantly improved battery life, aiming to appeal to users who want Apple’s Find My network compatibility in a sleeker, longer-lasting package.

The Tracking Card Pro is available in black or white and is designed to resemble a standard credit card, even including a faux chip to blend in with other cards. Its subtle design could make it less likely to be spotted and discarded by a thief performing a quick check for tracking devices. The card measures 2.5mm thick—noticeably thicker than the 1.7mm original model, but still compact enough to fit in most wallets. Users with ultra-slim cardholders, however, might find the added bulk noticeable. Nomad opted for a flat-edged, exposed aluminum frame, which enhances durability but also makes the card look thicker than it actually is.

In practical terms, the added size allows for a larger battery, which Nomad says extends runtime to roughly 16 months per charge—over three times longer than the earlier version’s five-month lifespan. Charging is straightforward: the device supports Qi, Qi2, and MagSafe wireless charging standards, and magnetic alignment ensures a secure fit on chargers. A small red LED indicates when charging is in progress. Rated IPX7 for water and dust resistance, the card can handle daily wear, including exposure to moisture or dirt.

Functionally, the Tracking Card Pro integrates with Apple’s Find My app in the same way as an AirTag. Once paired, it appears in the Items tab and supports standard location-tracking features, including mapping, proximity alerts, and sound-based locating. It can also use nearby Apple devices to report its position when outside Bluetooth range. Missing, however, is Apple’s Precision Finding feature, since the card lacks an Ultra Wideband chip, meaning users must rely on sound cues for close-range searches.

Additional software features include the ability to share contact details in case someone finds a lost wallet, and an item-sharing option that lets others help recover misplaced belongings—useful in locations like airports or hotels.
The Tracking Card Pro offers a familiar set of tracking capabilities in a form that integrates more naturally into a wallet than the coin-shaped AirTag. It’s available now from Nomad’s website for $39, with a 10 percent discount when purchasing two. Orders are expected to ship by December 19.
