Nomad has expanded its Apple Watch band lineup with a limited-edition Icy Blue version of the Stratos Band, adding a new color option to a design introduced last year. The Stratos Band was positioned as a hybrid accessory, blending flexible FKM rubber typically found in sport-focused bands with titanium hardware more commonly associated with premium metal bands. The new release keeps that core construction intact while introducing the company’s Icy Blue Glow material on the interior links.

The Stratos Band was originally notable for combining two materials that are usually separated into different product categories. On the wrist-facing side, the FKM rubber provides flexibility and comfort suitable for daily wear, workouts, and extended use. On the exterior, titanium links and hardware give the band a more structured and refined appearance. This dual-material approach allows the band to shift between casual and more formal settings without requiring a swap to a different strap.

In terms of specifications, the Icy Blue Stratos Band uses Grade 4 titanium hardware with a scratch-resistant DLC coating. The interior links feature the limited-edition Icy Blue Glow FKM rubber, while the overall design relies on flexible links intended to contour naturally around the wrist. A magnetic clasp is used for closure, and Nomad includes a tool to adjust the band length. The band is also water resistant, aligning with the expectations of Apple Watch users who wear their devices across a range of environments.
The new colorway does not change the fundamental wearing experience compared to earlier Stratos models. The band remains relatively lightweight for a titanium-based design and avoids the stiffness sometimes associated with full metal bracelets. That balance is part of its appeal, particularly for users who previously alternated between a sport band and a metal band depending on activity. By combining both materials in a single product, the Stratos Band reduces the need for that tradeoff.

Pricing reflects its hybrid construction. The limited-edition Icy Blue Glow version is priced at $189, while the standard Stratos color options remain available at $179. Nomad positions the band as compatible with Apple Watch Ultra but notes that it will fit most standard Apple Watch models as well. Buyers can choose between black or natural titanium hardware finishes.
Availability is limited for the Icy Blue Glow variant, which Nomad says will only be offered for a short time. The release appears aimed at users looking for a single band that balances durability, comfort, and a more understated premium aesthetic, rather than those seeking a purely decorative accessory.
