Samsung is broadening its monitor lineup with the launch of the world’s first 37-inch display, introduced under the ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) series. Positioned between the existing 32- and 43-inch models, the new size is aimed at professionals who want more screen real estate without committing to a dual-monitor setup.
The 37-inch model maintains a 16:9 aspect ratio and UHD resolution, but the extra five inches compared to the 32-inch version create noticeable differences in usability. Text and fine details appear larger and easier to read, which can help with long editing sessions, documentation, or presentations where clarity matters. For collaborative environments, the bigger display improves visibility when sharing work with colleagues.
The monitor carries TÜV Rheinland certification as an Ergonomic Workspace Display, recognizing its design for reduced visual strain. Features such as flicker reduction and a blue light–limiting eye saver mode are also TÜV certified. These adjustments are particularly useful for knowledge workers and editors who spend extended hours in front of the screen.

For creative professionals, the wider screen accommodates more complex workflows, such as video editing with multiple source files open side by side. The expanded workspace supports a higher level of precision and multitasking, eliminating the need for two separate displays.
Samsung has equipped the ViewFinity S8 with practical tools for managing multiple devices. A built-in KVM switch allows users to control two systems with the same keyboard and mouse, while picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes make it possible to view content from different devices simultaneously. Connectivity includes USB-C with 90W charging, a LAN port for wired networking, and standard USB and video ports, making it easier to integrate into a flexible workstation.
The monitor is designed for quick installation with an “Easy Setup Stand” that requires no tools and takes only a few seconds to assemble. Once in place, the stand supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments to accommodate different desk setups.
Samsung is also extending the 37-inch category into gaming. At Gamescom 2025, it revealed the Odyssey G7 (G75F), a curved 37-inch monitor offering 4K UHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms response time. With its 1000R curvature, the gaming model aims to deliver a more immersive experience on a large format.
The introduction of 37-inch displays across both productivity and gaming lines reflects Samsung’s attempt to carve out a new middle ground in monitor sizing, balancing desk space, usability, and immersion.
