At its Level Reforge 2025 event, HP introduced a broad update to its gaming hardware lineup, including refreshed OMEN desktops and an expanded range of HyperX audio peripherals. The focus this year leans heavily on thermal improvements, AI integration, and extended battery life—priorities that cater to both competitive gamers and content creators.
Leading the desktop announcements is the HP OMEN Max 45L, the brand’s most powerful prebuilt system to date. Its standout feature is the Cryo Chamber cooling system, which isolates the CPU and draws in external air, resulting in a 7.5°C reduction in processor temperatures under full load compared to earlier models. GPU temps also benefit, with a modest 2°C drop thanks to revised airflow from a redesigned chassis that includes elevated feet and wider vents.

Inside, the Max 45L supports up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and NVIDIA’s flagship RTX 5090 GPU. It comes equipped with a fully modular 1200W power supply and integrates OMEN AI optimization, offering one-click tuning for smoother performance across games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and League of Legends. The companion OMEN Gaming Hub provides real-time system monitoring and fan curve customization.
Alongside the flagship model, HP also unveiled a refreshed OMEN 35L desktop, featuring similar high-end specs, the same power supply, and improved thermal design. A Stealth Edition variant strips away RGB lighting in favor of an all-black, minimalist look. Internally, it mirrors the standard 35L but is positioned as the official PC for League of Legends Esports and the Valorant Champions Tour.

On the audio front, HyperX launched a suite of new products. Topping the list is the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless, which offers up to 250 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz mode—a notable claim in the wireless headset market. When using both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz simultaneously, battery life drops to 125 hours, still a substantial figure. It features 53mm dual-chamber drivers, a steel frame, and memory foam ear cushions. A reprogrammable RGB base station with six customizable buttons is included, along with a detachable 100mm boom mic.

For those looking for a more affordable option, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 provides up to 100 hours of use via 2.4GHz and up to 150 hours over Bluetooth. It includes RGB lighting, customizable audio settings, and removable earcup plates—all managed through the updated HyperX NGenuity software.

Microphones also saw notable updates. The HyperX FlipCast supports both USB and XLR connections, designed to appeal to streamers and content creators. Its dynamic capsule is tuned for background noise rejection and features a front-facing LED input meter. A tap-to-mute function and selectable audio filters such as low-cut and presence boost are also included.

The more compact HyperX SoloCast 2 targets everyday users and entry-level creators. It features a built-in shock mount, foam pop filter, and adjustable tilt. The mic supports onboard filters and AI noise reduction, accessible through NGenuity.
HP is also updating the NGenuity platform itself. Currently in beta, the redesigned software brings support for spatial audio and enhanced AI-based noise cancellation for microphones, along with expanded customization for HyperX peripherals.
As for availability, the OMEN Max 45L desktop is expected in December 2025, with pricing yet to be confirmed. The OMEN 35L and its Stealth Edition will arrive in October, starting at $1,499.99. The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 headset will be available in August for $299.99, while the Cloud Flight 2 lands in October at $129.99. The HyperX FlipCast mic and SoloCast 2 are expected this month, priced at $229.99 and $59.99, respectively.
With this release, HP appears to be streamlining performance and functionality across its OMEN and HyperX lines, prioritizing real-world improvements in cooling, battery life, and customization over headline-grabbing gimmicks. For gamers and creators alike, the 2025 refresh focuses more on long-term usability than radical redesigns.
