Motorola has quietly unveiled the Moto X70 Air, its latest premium midrange smartphone that emphasizes design as much as performance. Officially launching in China on October 31, the device is already listed on Lenovo’s website, confirming all key specifications. With a profile just 6mm thick, the Moto X70 Air is one of the slimmest smartphones in its category, yet still manages to pack a 120Hz OLED display, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and triple 50MP cameras.
The X70 Air features a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with a 1.5K (1,220 × 2,712) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen is both Pantone-validated and SGS-certified for eye protection, underlining Motorola’s focus on visual accuracy and reduced eye strain. It also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and runs Android 16, ensuring a modern interface out of the box.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola has added a 3D vapor chamber cooling system to maintain performance under load, a feature typically reserved for gaming phones. Despite its ultra-thin profile, the Moto X70 Air houses a 4,800mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, giving it a solid endurance rating relative to its size.

Camera performance looks to be another focus area. The rear setup includes three 50MP sensors: a Samsung-made main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The symmetrical lens configuration is rare at this price tier and hints at Motorola’s effort to make the device appealing to content creators and casual photographers alike.
Connectivity and durability are also well covered. The phone supports 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, OTG, and USB Type-C, and carries IP68 and IP69 certification, protecting it from both water and dust ingress. The X70 Air will be available in Gadget Grey, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green, all Pantone-validated color options for consistent aesthetic accuracy across devices.
Internationally, the model will debut as the Motorola Edge 70, launching globally on November 5 with identical specifications and design.
The Moto X70 Air represents Motorola’s latest push into the thin-and-light performance category, balancing premium materials, capable internals, and photography-centric features. If pricing aligns competitively, it could position Motorola as a strong contender in the mid-premium Android segment.
