Mophie has introduced a new series of GaN-based Speedport wall chargers, expanding its lineup with a range of USB-C power options aimed at phones, tablets, laptops, and other portable electronics. The move reflects the broader shift toward Gallium Nitride components across the charging industry, as GaN allows manufacturers to produce smaller, more efficient power bricks that generate less heat than their silicon predecessors.
The new Speedport range includes seven models spanning 20W to 140W, with configurations designed for either single-device charging or multiport setups. The entry-level Speedport 20 delivers 20W through a single USB-C port, positioned for basic smartphone or accessory charging. At 35W, the Speedport 35 remains a single-port design but offers enough power for small tablets and faster phone charging. Multiport options begin with the Speedport 45, which provides two USB-C ports and 45W total output, making it suitable for powering a phone and a secondary device simultaneously.

The Speedport Plus 67 stands out as the only unit with an integrated retractable USB-C cable, offering two ports in addition to the built-in cable for charging up to three devices at once. Other midrange models include the Speedport 70, which features dual USB-C ports and 70W output. For heavier workloads such as laptop charging, the lineup extends to the Speedport 100 and Speedport 140, supplying 100W and 140W respectively. Both rely on multiple USB-C ports and reflect the increasing demand for compact chargers capable of replacing bulkier laptop power adapters.
Across the series, Mophie uses a consistent design language: compact housings built from 75 percent post-consumer recycled plastics and foldable prongs that make the chargers easier to pack for travel. While the environmental claims are modest, they align with industry trends toward incorporating recycled materials into consumer electronics accessories without altering performance specifications.
All models except the Speedport Plus 67 are now available through Mophie’s website. The pricing tiers—from $14.95 for the 20W version to $99.95 for the 140W option—place the lineup squarely within the competitive GaN charger market, where size, efficiency, and port flexibility have become key differentiators.
