Microsoft unveiled its latest Surface for Business Copilot+ PCs lineup at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, introducing AI-powered devices built for the next era of intelligent, connected computing — including the first-ever Surface Laptop with built-in 5G.
The new Surface portfolio, featuring the Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop, is designed to deliver powerful on-device AI performance, extended battery life, and enterprise-grade manageability. These devices are optimized for Copilot+ experiences, supporting modern hybrid work while preparing organizations across the region for Windows 10 end-of-support.
Powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra (Series 2) and Snapdragon X Plus (8-core) processors, the new Surface devices accelerate AI workloads directly on-device and integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Intune and the Surface Management Portal, giving IT leaders better insights, policy control, and lifecycle management. Select models also feature removable SSDs and serviceable components for easier redeployment and data protection.
The introduction of Surface Copilot+ PCs with 5G aligns with Microsoft’s ongoing support for the UAE’s AI transformation agenda, including the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 and the Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI. These initiatives aim to position the UAE as the global “AI Capital of the World.”
Waseem Hashem, Go-To-Market Lead, Microsoft EMEA, said:
“With Surface for Business Copilot+ PCs, including our first 5G-enabled Surface Laptop, we are making AI truly useful at the edge, right on the device. This empowers organizations across the region to modernize securely and at scale, supported by a strong ecosystem of OEM partners driving the Copilot+ PC moment. As the UAE accelerates its national AI journey, these devices will give leaders, employees, and innovators the secure, connected tools they need to thrive in a cloud-first, AI-driven economy.”
At GITEX 2025, Microsoft is also showcasing its vision for agentic AI — the next evolution of artificial intelligence where systems can reason, plan, and collaborate with humans autonomously. In collaboration with 37 regional partners, Microsoft is presenting real-world use cases across industries, along with Surface and Copilot innovations that demonstrate how agentic AI is moving from pilot projects to enterprise adoption in the UAE.
