Meet the world’s first smartphone without ports or buttons 😱

No more headphone jacks? why not go all the way and remove everything!

Meizu has announced a new smartphone called “Zero,” which doesn’t have a headphone jack, a charging port and a speaker grill, and not even a SIM card slot and buttons! The device relies completely on wireless technologies which produces a single slab glass and metal device.

On the front the Meizu Zero packs a 5.99-inch AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 20MP selfie camera, while on the back, there’s a 12MP + 20MP dual camera.

The Zero is advertised as “the world’s first holeless phone”.

How does it work?

Instead of volume or power buttons, there are capacitive squeezable sensors on the edges, like the HTC U12+ to control the volume and power.

Instead of speakers grilles, it relies on piezoelectric transducers and uses the screen to transmit audio.

Instead of the charging port, it relies purely on wireless charging.

And of course no SIM card slot, can only mean one thing: eSIM technology.
