MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 8350, a new chipset designed to elevate the performance of upper mid-range smartphones and tablets. The Dimensity 8350 builds upon the recently launched Dimensity 8300, offering key enhancements and optimizations.

Manufactured using a 4nm process, the Dimensity 8350 boasts an octa-core CPU configuration with high-performance Cortex-A715 cores clocked at up to 3.35GHz. One notable addition is the “StarSpeed Engine,” replacing the previous HyperEngine technology for improved gaming performance. MediaTek claims that the StarSpeed Engine delivers a 10% reduction in power consumption while maintaining smoother frame rates during gameplay.

The Dimensity 8350 also features a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU, support for fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, and MediaTek’s NPU 780 for AI processing. It supports camera sensors up to 320MP, displays with refresh rates up to 180Hz, Bluetooth 5.4, and WiFi 6E connectivity.

Oppo has been announced as the launch partner for the Dimensity 8350, with the chipset set to power its upcoming Reno 13 series smartphones and the Oppo Pad 3 tablet. The Dimensity 8350 is poised to deliver a compelling combination of performance, efficiency, and advanced features to the next generation of mobile devices.
