The OnePlus 15 is set for its global debut on November 13, and the company has confirmed several of the phone’s standout specifications, signaling a device that leans heavily toward performance and gaming. Among its most notable features is a 7,300-mAh battery — one of the largest capacities seen in a mainstream Android flagship — paired with fast-charging options designed to keep the device running at full tilt.
According to OnePlus, the battery supports 80-watt wired charging via SuperVooc and 50-watt wireless charging through AirVooc. These speeds are slightly below the 120-watt wired rate offered on the Chinese edition, likely reflecting regional differences in charging standards and power adapters. Even so, the global variant’s combination of battery life and charging efficiency positions it near the top of the market for longevity and convenience.
The phone’s 6.78-inch display carries a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate — specifications that place it firmly in gaming territory. OnePlus claims popular titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile and Brawl Stars can run at 165 frames per second on the device. The screen’s 3,200Hz touch sampling rate should also translate into exceptional input responsiveness, potentially giving it an edge over other gaming-focused models like the RedMagic 11 Pro, which peaks at 2,592Hz.

Powering the OnePlus 15 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the latest in the company’s high-end chipset lineup. OnePlus has paired this with a new cooling system incorporating a vapor chamber and an aerogel insulation layer reportedly designed to reduce surface heat — a useful inclusion for sustained gaming sessions or intensive workloads.
While OnePlus has yet to confirm the camera configuration for the global model, the Chinese version includes three 50-megapixel lenses covering wide, ultrawide, and telephoto perspectives, with the latter offering 3.5x optical zoom. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. If these specifications carry over, the OnePlus 15 should retain the versatile imaging capabilities the company has emphasized in recent releases.
A special Sand Storm edition of the phone will also be available, featuring a composite material OnePlus says is 1.3 times tougher than titanium. Promotional images show it alongside standard black and purple finishes, giving users a mix of rugged and more traditional design options.
With its combination of an oversized battery, ultra-fast refresh rate, and flagship processor, the OnePlus 15 appears to target users who prioritize raw performance — particularly mobile gamers. Whether it can balance these specifications with software stability, efficient heat management, and camera quality will be the key test once it officially launches.
