Marshall has introduced the Kilburn III, the latest update to its popular line of portable Bluetooth speakers. Arriving seven years after its predecessor, the new model builds on the Kilburn II’s strengths while introducing refinements in design, acoustics, and usability. The speaker is now available on Marshall’s website for $379.99 and will hit retailers beginning June 10.
The Kilburn III remains true to Marshall’s signature aesthetic, drawing heavily from its guitar amp heritage with textured finishes, tactile analog controls, and a removable, velvet-lined carrying strap that attaches with guitar-style strap buttons. Available in black & brass or cream, the device is tailored for users who value both sound quality and stylistic continuity.
One of the standout features of the Kilburn III is its 50+ hour battery life, offering extended use for travel, outdoor gatherings, or weekend listening sessions without needing frequent recharging. The unit also includes a USB-C port for streamlined charging and a reverse charging feature that allows users to top up their smartphones directly from the speaker — a practical touch for portable use.

Marshall has also addressed durability with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, making the Kilburn III more resilient in outdoor or unpredictable environments. While not fully waterproof, it’s designed to withstand light rain and dusty conditions, aligning with the speaker’s portable intent.
Audio quality has been enhanced with what Marshall calls 360° True Stereophonic Sound, aiming to deliver balanced output regardless of speaker orientation. The design avoids traditional stereo blind spots, offering a more uniform listening experience throughout a space. Marshall’s Dynamic Loudness feature further adjusts audio settings to preserve clarity and detail at higher volumes — a feature that may appeal to those using the speaker in open or noisy settings.
Control is handled through both physical knobs and Marshall’s companion app, allowing users to fine-tune bass, treble, and playback preferences. The analog controls — a staple of the Kilburn line — are part of what differentiates the speaker from touch-centric competitors, giving users immediate and intuitive access to key functions.
While the Kilburn III doesn’t introduce radical innovations, it represents a thoughtful evolution of a proven design. It adds just enough to appeal to users upgrading from earlier models, while remaining accessible to those looking for a premium, retro-inspired portable speaker with modern connectivity and reliable performance.
