Magnetic convenience meets everyday carry in UGREEN MagFlow Air power banks

UGREEN has released a new lineup of compact chargers and magnetic power banks under the Nexode and MagFlow Air Editions, aimed at users who want solid power delivery without adding bulk to their bags. The collection, now launching in Europe on June 5, 2026, reflects the ongoing push in consumer electronics toward smaller, lighter accessories that still handle laptop and phone charging demands.

At the heart of the range sits the Nexode Air 65W Charger. Measuring smaller than an AirPods Pro case, it uses gallium nitride (GaN) technology to pack 65 watts of output into a body roughly 70 percent smaller than a typical 65W brick. This kind of miniaturization has become more common since GaN chargers first gained traction around 2019, allowing devices to run cooler and more efficiently than older silicon-based designs. The charger earned a strong rating in TÜV SÜD’s compact high-power assessment, which speaks to its engineering, though real-world performance will still depend on cable quality and device compatibility.

For even tighter spots, the Nexode Air 65W Slim offers the same power in a flatter profile with a foldable plug suited for UK and EU sockets. It sits nearly flush against the wall, which should prove useful behind furniture or in crowded outlets. Intelligent power allocation helps distribute energy safely across multiple devices, a standard feature in modern multi-port chargers but still welcome for avoiding unnecessary heat or slowdowns.

The MagFlow Air Editions shift focus to wireless convenience. Both models support Qi2-certified 15W magnetic charging, snapping onto compatible phones for cable-free top-ups. The 5,000mAh version stays impressively thin at 8.6mm, resembling a credit card in thickness, making it easy to slip into a pocket or bag without much added weight. The larger 10,000mAh model includes a pull-out USB-C cable that doubles as a carry strap and supports 30W two-way charging, giving users more flexibility during travel.

Safety remains a priority here. The power banks use high-density lithium cells with multiple protection layers, temperature controls, and design choices that meet airline carry-on standards. These elements address common concerns with portable batteries, such as swelling or excessive heat, though users should still monitor charging habits for best longevity.

Beyond the hardware, UGREEN is pairing the launch with a European campaign called “Find Style in the Little Things,” including art workshops at universities in Berlin. The idea invites people to treat the devices as creative canvases rather than purely functional tools. It’s an interesting angle in a market flooded with similar accessories, though whether it resonates will depend on how genuinely users engage with the concept.

Overall, the Nexode and MagFlow Air Editions continue the industry trend of shrinking chargers while maintaining useful power levels. They are not revolutionary in a crowded field—competitors like Anker and Baseus have offered slim GaN and magnetic options for years—but the combination of size, features, and pricing positions them as practical choices for daily carry. The Nexode Air starts around €34.99 / £29.99, with MagFlow Air from €49.99 / £44.99, available via Amazon and UGREEN’s site from June 5.
