Newly launched luxury airline Beond will add a cutting-edge touch to its service: Apple Vision Pro headsets for select passengers. The airline aims to transform in-flight entertainment with immersive experiences, particularly showcasing stunning Maldivian destinations before arrival.

“The Apple Vision Pro will revolutionize in-flight entertainment,” said Tero Taskila, Beond’s Chairman and CEO. “We’re proud to be the first airline to offer this technology, enhancing our premium travel experience from start to finish.”

Apple Vision Pro has garnered a mixed reception overall, but its potential for enhancing flights is widely recognized. Apple caters to this with visionOS’s Travel Mode, stabilizing visuals and allowing virtual big-screen viewing in the air.

Beond plans to roll out this “ground-breaking content experience” starting in July 2024. This news aligns with Beond’s focus on luxury, as seen in its all-lay-flat seating and its expanding Maldivian routes from major cities.
