Logitech expands Zone lineup with new wireless and wired headsets for open offices

Logitech has introduced two new headsets aimed at tackling one of the most persistent challenges of the modern workplace: noise. The Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 are designed for open offices, where interruptions and background sounds often undermine productivity. Both models feature microphones with AI-assisted noise cancellation and adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation that automatically adjusts depending on the environment. The overall design borrows from gaming headsets, prioritizing comfort with an adjustable headband and a structure intended for long use.

The shift back toward shared office spaces has reignited the conversation around distraction. Research suggests that companies lose hundreds of billions of dollars annually due to interrupted work, highlighting why noise control remains a growing category in professional hardware. Logitech is positioning these headsets not just as accessories for meetings, but as tools to preserve focus in environments where concentration is often fractured.

The Zone Wireless 2 ES carries certifications for major conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. It also integrates native Bluetooth call controls for Teams and Meet, meaning it can connect directly without requiring a dongle. For those who do use a dongle, the device is designed to disappear from conferencing apps when powered off, reducing confusion over which audio source is active. The Zone Wired 2 mirrors these capabilities but connects via USB, an option that avoids battery concerns and potential wireless interference.

IT departments can manage both models through Logitech Sync, enabling remote oversight and firmware updates without disrupting users. Hardware features include reversible microphone booms, rotating earcups, and customizable settings through the Logi Tune app, where users can fine-tune audio, noise cancellation, and charging preferences. The wireless version offers up to 20 hours of talk time and 25 hours of listening with noise cancellation enabled.

A nod toward sustainability is present in both models. Logitech has used recycled materials in components such as plastics, magnets, batteries, and even the travel bags, while also offering replaceable parts to extend product lifespan. Color options include rose, off-white, and graphite, aligning with the company’s push to make workplace tools more visually adaptable to personal preference.

Pricing places the Zone Wireless 2 ES at $159.99 for the standard Bluetooth version and $179.99 with a receiver, available globally starting in November. The Zone Wired 2, launching in December, will sell for $129.99. These headsets are clearly targeted at workers and IT managers navigating the noise of hybrid offices, reflecting an industry-wide trend toward hardware that balances productivity, comfort, and sustainability.
