LG’s 2025 OLED and QNED evo TVs target gamers and movie fans alike

LG is positioning its latest OLED and QNED evo televisions as a centerpiece for at-home entertainment, whether for family movie nights or extended gaming sessions. With the summer heat keeping many indoors across the region, the company is highlighting the performance and feature upgrades of its 2025 lineup as a reason to refresh home viewing setups.

The new OLED evo G5 and M5 models are powered by LG’s α11 AI Processor 4K Gen2, which analyzes and adjusts more than 8 million pixels in real time to enhance depth, detail, and overall image quality. These sets also employ the company’s Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, producing up to three times the brightness of standard OLED panels. Combined with OLED’s hallmark perfect black levels and high-contrast visuals, the result is a display that performs well in both dimly lit rooms and sunlit spaces.

For gaming, the G5 model supports refresh rates up to 165Hz with ultra-low input lag and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), aiming to provide smoother and more responsive gameplay. This makes it a strong option for console owners and competitive players seeking reduced tearing and latency without compromising on picture quality.

LG’s QNED evo range targets viewers who prefer brighter images and vivid colors. Using a combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies, these displays deliver a wide color gamut certified at 100% Color Volume, ensuring that brightness and vibrancy remain consistent even in well-lit conditions. The QNED92, for instance, integrates the α8 AI Processor 4K Gen2, which upscales HD content to near-4K and uses Precision Dimming Pro to refine contrast scene by scene.

Beyond picture quality, LG has leaned heavily on AI-driven personalization. Features such as AI Voice ID, AI Concierge, and AI Search tailor recommendations and adjustments to each household’s usage patterns. The TVs also enhance standard audio with AI Sound Pro, upmixing to create a virtual 11.1.2 channel surround effect.

Both OLED evo and QNED evo series support Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos, extending their appeal for viewers seeking a cinematic experience at home. With slim bezels and minimalist designs, LG is also emphasizing how the sets fit seamlessly into contemporary living spaces.

By combining high brightness, deep blacks, strong gaming performance, and adaptive AI features, LG’s latest televisions are positioned as multi-purpose displays for households where streaming, gaming, and sport viewing all converge. The company’s pitch is clear: in markets where long summers keep people indoors, its OLED and QNED evo models represent an upgrade in both picture quality and usability.
