LG is expanding its home appliance portfolio at IFA 2025 in Berlin with a lineup of four new vacuum cleaners, ranging from a robot model with steam-mopping capability to lightweight stick units. The company is clearly targeting households that want more automation and less manual upkeep, while emphasizing design that fits into smaller European living spaces.
The most advanced of the group is a robot vacuum with a built-in steam mop. LG says it delivers more than twice the suction of its predecessor and can tackle grease and liquid spills in addition to dry debris. After use, the docking station cleans and sterilizes the mop with hot water and steam, aiming to reduce lingering odors and bacteria. The unit is powered by an AI chip that recognizes dirt, dust, furniture, and obstacles for more accurate navigation. An additional carpet-detection feature automatically sends the vacuum back to its dock to detach the mop before rolling onto rugs. The company also highlights data privacy safeguards through its LG Shield system, a growing concern for connected appliances.

A second model is less visible but built into the home itself. Designed for European kitchens, this robot vacuum station can be installed beneath a sink and opens automatically when needed. It manages dust disposal through an air circulation system to cut down on noise, while also automating water supply, drainage, and mop cleaning. A turbidity sensor checks mop cleanliness and initiates a wash cycle when required.
For those who prefer handheld options, LG is bringing two stick vacuums. The first focuses on sustained suction, using Micro Cyclone technology and a self-cleaning filter designed to handle pet hair and fine dust without clogging. It includes an automatic dust disposal feature to limit direct contact with allergens, paired with a compact freestanding charging dock.

The second stick vacuum handles both wet and dry cleaning. It is built to be lightweight and reduce wrist strain, with AI-assisted roller control that adjusts to the user’s cleaning patterns. The unit can pick up liquids and solids, and its LED lighting is meant to make cleaning under furniture or in dim corners easier. After use, the mop head goes through a hot-water wash, steam sterilization, and hot-air drying to keep it sanitary.

LG’s new vacuums will be on display at IFA 2025 in Hall 18 at Messe Berlin from September 5 to 9.
