LG has introduced the XD2 dishwasher to the Gulf market, positioning it as a high-capacity appliance designed for both hygiene and convenience. The model debuts with a black finish and integrates a range of technologies aimed at reducing cleaning time while improving efficiency.
One of the key features is 100°C TrueSteam, which uses high-temperature steam to sanitize dishes by removing up to 99.9% of bacteria. LG also claims that this process helps minimize water spots, producing a cleaner finish without additional polishing. Complementing this is the QuadWash system, which employs multi-motion spray arms and high-pressure jets to reach all areas of the load, limiting the need for pre-rinsing.
For households pressed for time, the XD2 includes a 1 Hour Wash & Dry cycle. The system combines quick cleaning with Dynamic Heat Dry, which uses condensation drying and an automatic door-opening function to release steam, ensuring dishes are ready to use without towel-drying.
The machine’s interior is designed with flexibility in mind. The EasyRack Plus system allows users to adjust racks to accommodate different dish sizes, while ThinQ app support provides remote control and cycle monitoring. A discreet LED front display shows remaining cycle time at a glance.
The XD2 also emphasizes quiet operation and efficiency, powered by LG’s Inverter DirectDrive motor. The motor is covered by a 10-year warranty and contributes to reduced energy use while keeping noise levels low—an advantage for open-plan living spaces or late-night use.
By introducing the XD2 in the Emirates, LG is aiming at households that prioritize both hygiene and time savings, from families managing large loads to professionals who want faster turnaround between meals. The product reflects the broader push in premium appliances toward combining smart connectivity, improved sanitization, and user-centered design.
