enovo has announced a series of senior leadership appointments and confirmed that its new Regional Headquarters (RHQ) for Saudi Arabia will be located in Riyadh’s Al Majdoul Tower. The move signals a major step in the company’s long-term commitment to the Kingdom and its alignment with Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s national strategy for digital transformation and economic diversification.

The decision comes alongside Lenovo’s broader collaboration with ALAT, a Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned company, aimed at expanding Lenovo’s global manufacturing and regional footprint. Earlier this year, Lenovo and ALAT broke ground on a 200,000-square-meter advanced manufacturing facility in Riyadh’s Integrated Logistics Zone, which is expected to begin producing “Saudi Made” devices by 2026.

Leadership Appointments

To guide this expansion, Lenovo has appointed three executives to senior roles in Saudi Arabia:

  • Lawrence Yu, Head of Regional Headquarters, will oversee operations, partnerships with ALAT, and manufacturing milestones. Yu, who previously led Lenovo’s Retail Solutions division to record-breaking growth, has been closely involved in the planning of the Riyadh manufacturing site.
  • Giovanni Di Filippo, Vice President & General Manager of Lenovo Saudi Arabia, will lead the Intelligent Devices Group, Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Solutions & Services Group across the Kingdom. Di Filippo, formerly President of EMEA ISG, is credited with nearly doubling Lenovo’s market share in that region.
  • Zoran Radumilo, Chief Technology Officer for Lenovo Saudi Arabia, will drive technology strategy across government, energy, telecoms, smart cities, and financial services. Radumilo brings more than 25 years of enterprise technology experience, including senior roles at industrial AI company IFS.

Regional Headquarters in Riyadh

Lenovo’s new regional headquarters in Al Majdoul Tower is positioned to support operations across the Kingdom and the wider region. Known for its distinctive twisting architecture, the tower is already home to several PIF-backed initiatives and government entities, placing Lenovo at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s growing innovation hub.

The headquarters will serve multiple functions, including R&D, a flagship retail presence, a VIP customer center, and marketing operations. Lenovo says the location will strengthen its ability to support enterprise clients and public sector partners while enhancing collaboration with Saudi stakeholders in emerging technology and industrial sectors.

A Strategic Role in Vision 2030

Through its investments in manufacturing, retail, and leadership talent, Lenovo is positioning itself as a key contributor to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives. The company estimates that its initiatives, including the regional headquarters and the upcoming factory, could contribute up to USD 10 billion to the Kingdom’s non-oil GDP by 2030.

Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President of Lenovo EMEA, described the confirmation of the Riyadh headquarters as a “major milestone” in Lenovo’s regional growth strategy. “Through our partnership with ALAT and investment in advanced manufacturing, we are proud to support industrial diversification, digital transformation, and sustainable economic growth in Saudi Arabia,” he said.

With the headquarters secured and leadership in place, Lenovo’s expansion in the Kingdom now moves into its next phase. By combining global technology expertise with local investment, the company aims to deepen its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing technology markets.
