Lenovo has introduced the latest addition to its gaming laptop lineup with the Legion 9i (18″, 10), revealed during Tech World Shanghai 2025. This 18-inch machine is built not only for high-performance gaming but also for game development, visual design, and AI-driven workflows, offering a versatile platform for a range of creative professionals.
The Legion 9i is engineered with a PureSight display offering up to 4K resolution, optional 2K 3D support, and refresh rates reaching 440Hz at Full HD. The 3D feature, enabled by a lenticular lens array and eye-tracking, delivers glasses-free depth perception, catering to professionals who work with 3D modeling and rendering. Lenovo’s 3D Studio software enhances this capability with support for a range of formats and applications.

Under the hood, the Legion 9i supports up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, allowing for a combined 280W power load. The device is designed with expandability in mind, offering four RAM slots for up to 192GB of DDR5 memory and four SSD slots with one PCIe Gen 5 slot, supporting up to 8TB of storage. A 99.99Wh battery ensures portability for professionals on the move.
To maintain performance under pressure, Lenovo equips the system with its Coldfront: Vapor cooling system, a combination of vapor chamber, hyper chamber, and quad-fan design. This thermal architecture helps keep noise below 48dB, even at peak load.
The chassis features a handcrafted carbon fiber lid, making each device unique while reducing weight without compromising strength. Connectivity is robust, with Thunderbolt 5, HDMI 2.1, USB-A and USB-C ports, an SD card reader, and Wi-Fi 7 support.
AI also plays a central role. The Lenovo AI Core chip and AI Engine+ dynamically optimize performance, while Lenovo Legion Space software offers immersive sync features, game recording, coaching tools, and RGB integration. These additions aim to enhance both gameplay and creative workflows.

Complementing the hardware is the Legion 18” Armored Backpack II, designed to protect the device with layered shielding and dedicated compartments for accessories.
The Lenovo Legion 9i (18″, 10) will be available starting June 2025 in select markets at a starting price of 4499 EUR. A North American release is expected in Q4 2025, with more pricing details to follow.
